Fishing on the Web

It is hard to think about fly fishing sometimes when we look outside and there is 15 cm of fresh snow.  Luckily there are folks who fish 365 days a year and they are more than willing to share their fly fishing stories with us.

This week be sure to check out: Midcurrent

Off to a good start... Christmas Gifts

Here are some flies that I made to send to a family member for Christmas.  It is pretty gratifying to be able to make something I know they will appreciate and use next year.

Epoxy Minnow with 'Custom' Gift Tin

The top has a piece of adhesive magnetic sheet to place nymphs and non hackled flies.

(Left to Right) Light and dark Iris Caddis, Gold Ribbed Hare's Ears, and Beaded Caddis
And finally, some dries and streamers stuck to a foam sheet.  The foam is held by superglue.

(Clockwise from Top) Epoxy Minnows, Comparadun, Opal X-Caddis, Mylar Minnow, and Zonkers
